2009 Miracle Mall

We are getting ready for the Miracle Mall December the 19th from 10am to 5pm at our 2xsalt location. The mall will be full of toys for kids that we serve in our community. Toys and other items have been donated to us and they will be priced very reasonable in order to benefit the parents who otherwise could not afford full price. We desire them to be able to shop with dignity. Keep our Miracle Mall in your prayers this year. If your would like to contribute to our mall we have a drop off at our campus Dec 5th between the hours of 3 and 6 pm. Come drop off a toy and see our new building. Miracle Mall

We are getting ready for our Miracle Mall Christmas Story in December. Today at the 2xsalt site we were blessed to have a group of kids from Charlotte Christian come by and start helping us go through all of our donated toys. They were so much fun to work with. Thanks Charlotte Christian School. You guys rock!

First Service

It's been a long time coming but I'm excited about our first service at our new location. On Sep 6th 2xsalt and The Salt Mine Church will have our first service in our new building. God has been so good to us. If you can make it out for the first service we would love to have you as our guest. The address is 1900 Queen City Dr Charlotte NC. The service will start at 11am. 7 weeks of VBS

We kicked of 7 weeks of VBS yesterday with about 50 kids. We are networking with Jackson Park Ministry and several other churches across the city to pull off a great summer. The same 50 kids will enjoy many different themes and activities through out the summer. Keep us in prayer as we reach a community for Christ.

Soon

The building is coming along and we will be moving in soon. The inside is just off the hook crazy cool. Landscaping is soon to start also. Keep us in prayer.

Carpet

Carpet at the new property is going down. Yeah come on! God is so good to us and we will be moving in soon.

New Property

The new property is coming along great. We are hoping to move in by May. God is so good!

No Thougts/Just my day...

I never made it to the office today. I went to our future property where Bart and I put locks on all the doors and tossed out crack addicts who had been staying inside. What a mess they had made. Next I had a little lunch and then ran home to wait on the lady who bought my VW. She came and picked it up and then I went to look at a few trucks. No luck but there is always tomorrow. Dennis Swanberg & Mike Lewis

Our winter gala was an incredible evening. I would like to thank everyone who came out and was a part of it. Without your love and support it would be impossible to  accomplish our vision here at 2xsalt.

We have yet to total all the gifts that came in but we are confident it is well above what we could have ever imagined. We had over 300 people in attendance and everyone looked amazing.

One of the highlights of the weekend was being able to spend some time with Dennis Swanberg and Mike Lewis. Both of these men love the Lord big time. I picked them both up at the airport and took them to our event.

Dennis was a pastor for about 23 years and then went into comedy full time. He was funny from the moment I picked him up and his show for us was so funny I'm still laughing. I would encourage anyone to go to his site and buy something.

Mike was also incredible to talk with. He is one humble man of God. He shared with me his life and testimony and let's just say it was worth hearing. You can see in his eyes when he speaks of Christ that he loves Him with all of his heart.

He did three painting for us and to watch him live was a thrill of a life time. He and I ate together at the gala and it was cool to hear all of his stories.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to Dennis and Mike. If anyone out there in blog land is looking for two men that will blow an audience away then these two men are it.

Dinner/Auction

Mark your Calendars for the 2XSALT 2007 Winter Gala and Auction on December 1.

It will be a the Hilton Charlotte Center City Carolina Ballroom.

The evening entertainment will be Dennis Swanberg (Comedy), Vocalist Lloyd Bustard and the Jesus Painter Mike lewis.

The individual tickets are available for $250 and tables with 10 reserved seats for $2,500.

The event is Black Tie Optional.
